AVAILABILITY
We are proud to say that we achieved 99.7% availability of our service during 2010.

Over 90% of outages that did occur last year were due to ESB power supply failures so we now have up to four days backup power at most of our sites.
Now with our own power during 2011 our system has only had one fifteen minute outage to upgrade our core switch on Saturday 6th November.
However our suppliers who had a faultless had an outage on 4th November and another 20th November.

Our system is unaffected by rain or fog.
Our equipment is virtually wind storm proof.
However direct lightning strikes to our transmitter can damage it but these are rare.
Our biggest threat is extreme wet snow with wind which can adhere to antennas and reduce signal levels but this is very rare.
If you loose signal after heavy snow check your own antenna for an accumulation of snow in it.
Remove snow and ice with a brush if you can reach it but do not use boiling water.

IF YOUR CONNECTION DOES FAIL
Interruptions or dips in mains supply voltage can trip the receiver unit or your wireless router.
If your connection fails the first thing to do is unplug all your equipment from the mains.
ENSURE YOU PLUG OUT THE RECEIVER.
YOU CAN IDENTIFY IT BY FINDING THE CABLE COMING INTO THE BUILDING FROM THE OUTSIDE ANTENNA.
FOLLOW THE CABLE
IT WILL GO TO A CONNECTOR
THE CONNECTOR WILL HAVE A POWER SUPPLY ATTACHED WHICH IS PLUGGED INTO A MAINS POWER SOCKET.
THIS IS THE ONE YOU NEED TO UNPLUG FROM THE MAINS POWER SOCKET.

If you have a wireless router unplug it also.

Wait five seconds, plug all in again. Give it two minutes to reboot and then retry.

You should print this page and refer to it if you have connection problems
